Duty To Scoop — Service Agreement & Refund/Cancellation Policy

Welcome to Duty To Scoop! By using our services, you (the “Customer”) agree to the terms below. Questions? Email malachi@dutytoscoop.com or call/text 509-289-4608.

1) Service Area

We currently serve Walla Walla and College Place, WA. Additional locations may be added in the future.

2) Services Provided

We offer pet waste removal and yard deodorizing & sanitation. You can choose weekly, biweekly, or monthly schedules (custom schedules may be available). To keep costs down and routes efficient, we may change your service day of the week and the service time/window at any time to optimize routes (much like a garbage disposal company such as Waste Management). Specific appointment times aren’t guaranteed. We’ll send notice when changes occur whenever feasible.

3) Customer Responsibilities

• Access: Gates must be unlocked and the service area free of obstructions. If we cannot access the yard, service may be skipped.
• Pets: Please secure pets away from the service area, especially aggressive pets. We’re not liable for escaped pets due to unsecured gates/fencing.
• Products & Safety: We follow sanitization protocols and use pet-safe deodorizers. Some pets can have sensitivities; we’re not responsible for adverse reactions.

4) Scheduling, Rescheduling & Cancellations

• Route optimization (days & times): We may change your service day of the week and service time/window at any time to keep routes efficient (like Waste Management). We’ll notify you by email/text when possible. Customers do not choose exact times.
• Rescheduling: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. We may reschedule later that week or scoop double on the next visit if possible.
• Late cancellations: Cancelling less than 24 hours before your scheduled service incurs a 50% charge (same-day cancellations are charged 50%).
• Missed appointments / no access: If we cannot access the yard (locked gates, aggressive pets, or obstructions), the visit is charged in full. We may attempt to reschedule or scoop double next time if feasible.

5) Subscriptions — Start, Billing Cycle & Cancellation Window

• Billing cycle: Monthly subscribers are auto-billed on their signup date.
• Cancellation for refund/credit: If you cancel at least 48 hours before the first visit of the billing cycle, we’ll issue a full refund or account credit.
• No refunds after a visit: Once any visit in that cycle is completed, no refunds are issued.

6) Billing & Payments

• We accept major credit cards and digital payments.
• Late payments: A $10 late fee applies if payment is over 7 days late.
• Completed service is non-refundable: No refunds once the service visit has been performed (see Satisfaction Guarantee below for corrections).

7) Refunds, Credits & Processing Time

• No refunds once service is performed.
• If we missed something, contact us within 24 hours. We’ll return at no cost or make it right.
• Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days.

8) Satisfaction Guarantee

If you’re not satisfied, notify us within 24 hours of the visit and we’ll make it right (e.g., return visit or corrective action). This guarantee does not create a refund where the policy excludes refunds after a completed visit.

9) Liability Limitations

We’re not responsible for:

• Hidden yard hazards (sprinklers, underground utilities, etc.).
• Reactions to pet-safe cleaning/deodorizing products.
• Normal wear on yard surfaces.
• Odors resulting from long-term waste buildup.

10) Termination of Service

Either party may terminate service at any time. We may terminate service for rude, unsafe, or threatening behavior.
